Ahura Mazda was a great God to the Persian Empire during the time of Alexandra the Great’s conquest. According to his followers Ahura Mazda created this earth. He created yonder sky. He created man. He created happiness for man and was worshiped in a religion taking root between the Bronze age and the Iron Age. The earliest surviving written references to His worship are those of Greek writers. Zoroastrianism or Mazdayasna is one of the world’s oldest continuously practiced religions. It is a multi-tendency faith centered on a duelist cosmology of good and evil. Judgement Day, heaven and hell along with a separate entity embodying evil are documented at least 500 years before C.E.
