Tutankhamun Papyrus Painting

$5.00

Tutankhamun (1342 – 1325 BC), was the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh ruling during the end of the 18th dynasty.  His father was the pharaoh Akhenaten who instituted a monotheistic state religion.  This religion shook the foundation of Egyptian society, moved the location of the capital and dismantled the priest class that had served Egypt’s many temples.  Tutankhamun restored the Ancient Egyptian religion.  He nullified his father idea of ONE GOD.  He enriched and endowed the priestly orders of two important sects and began restoring old monuments damaged during the previous period. The capital was moved once again, and his father’s ideology erased among the Egyptian people.
