THE MAGICAL POWER OF OWLS
Egyptians held owls to be a sacred animal that protected the spirit traveling from one world to another. It is a symbol of wisdom and prophecy as well as the hieroglyph for the letter M. The sacred owl has crossed many cultures. Originally it was the companion to the Egyptian Goddess Neith. When the Greeks and Romans arrived, the owl became sacred to both Athena and Hecate respectfully. It never lost its basic meaning; the assistance needed in crossing over. Whether one is crossing a road in life (choice) or between lives the owl is there to provide wisdom, courage and guidance.
